Bridging Opportunities

How can gaps be bridged using design management education in order to improve economic benefits for women in the coffee sector of the Kilimanjaro Region?

The workshop was designed to solve problems within developing communities that strive to build their economies, yet lack resources. With this workshop UN Sustainable Development Goals were defined in order to reach the demographic of women owned coffee plantations, coffee factories and cafe's in Tanzania, East Africa. 

Resources provided included:

  • Bridging relationships between the Tanzanian Women in Coffee and organizations in the region offering grants.

  • Educating attendees on the essentials of Strategic Marketing, Financial Reporting and Grant Writing/Service Pitches for businesses.

  • Rebranding of materials and business strategies.
